Men
Organize, Join forces and Vote.
During the 1960s Feminist political organizations arose that
developed into a full feminist movement by the 1970s. These included the National Organization for Women (NOW)
formed in 1966 under the leadership of Betty Friedan; the National Women's Political Caucus (1971), composed of
such feminists as Bella Abzug, Shirley Chisholm, and Gloria Steinem; the Equal Rights Amendment Ratification
Council (1973); the Coalition of Labor Union Women (1973).
The force of the women's right's movement, spear headed by NOW,
was brought to bear on the major issue of the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to the Constitution.
The U.S. House of Representatives approved the ERA in 1971 and by the Senate in 1972.
Women knew from the start to be successful they
would have to control the vote. By 1980 this powerful constituency out voted men and changed election outcomes by
neutralizing men's vote. In the 2008 Presidential election, the gender voting gap was close to ten million.
The White House has
published visitor access records.
Kim Gandy president of the National Organization of Women visited the White House 15 times according to these
records. Warren Farrell and Marty Nemko president's of the National Organization for Men are not on the list of visitors. We
could not find any Men's Groups or Organizations that have visited the White
House.
When we formed Men's Voting Alliance people suggested
offering gifts would motivate men to join. That suggestion bothers me. If
the erosion of men's civil rights, a bias government and judicial system and the flagrant misandry does not motivate men to join
Men's Voting Alliance, I have no gift to offer that even comes
close to that. Until men organize, join forces and vote, there will be no gender equality.
The average working man
When you look at our header you see pictures of average
working men.
By average, I mean they are not rich they work hard, take care of
their families, pay their taxes, and yes they drink beer. These men have never committed a crime, served their
country, show up for work everyday and take all the overtime because they want their families to have the best.
This average working man is the backbone of this great country and the reason it thrives.
The way I see things.
The National Organization of Women was founded in 1966
and the National Women's Political Caucus in 1971. They joined
forces and by 1980, they neutralized men's vote and controlled political sentiments, and they continue to
today. Like it or not, that is impressive.
The Men's/Father's movement has been around for thirty
years with minimal success. It is time for all men's groups to join forces
with Men's Voting Alliance and visit the White House. If men want their rights they are going to have to get in the
game and fight for them. History has proven this works. The longer we wait, the more rights we
lose.
